How did you get into the modeling world?

CAROLINA: We started modeling when we finished school. We went to casting, we took catwalk classes, and our love of modeling, which at first was just a hobby, gradually grew. Actually, it was a friend – its designer fashions- the first person to tell us that we could be models. He was about to present his final project and wanted us to be the stars of his editorial. Before that, the idea had never crossed our minds. And they were the first photos we started sending to open castings to see what would happen.

STEPHANIA: We decided to try this path and always had the support of our parents. We realized that it was something we liked, and so we started meeting people who were interested in the fact that we were twins.

—Let’s talk about your approach to successful company Gucci. How did this contact with one of the criteria in haute couture come about?

CAROLINA: Before the pandemic, there were international agencies that wanted to represent us. They wrote to us on Instagram, they asked us for our photo ‘book’ and we were so slowly trying to find our way in the foreign sector. We had the closest contact with an agency (Division Model Management) in the Netherlands, which deals with our profiles for the European market. And it was exactly one of the representatives of this company (with whom we worked before) who told us about his search for twins and models. gucci For her show at Milan Fashion Week.

STEPHANIA: I remember this news came to us one day while we were doing a photo shoot. I went on Instagram in the morning (something I don’t normally do) and read this rep’s message telling us: gucci she needed cufflinks for her next show and she profiled us and we were shortlisted. Our reaction was emotional, but we remained calm as we still had to wait for the final answer.

— And what happened after this communication?

CAROLINA: After having this conversation with the modeling agency, we received messages from acquaintances in Europe who learned about this casting while looking for twins to model. We have decided not to submit our information or portfolio as we are already awaiting a response.

STEPHANIE: And the final answer came. They said they chose the twins who were closer to Milan, the city where the parade will take place. We get this answer best. The simple truth of being evaluated by a firm fashion so iconic already represented a success for us and made us very happy.

—You told this story on your TikTok account. What motivated you to do this?

STEPHANIA: And our parents were the only ones who knew, and we were wondering if we should tell. But we understood that it would be selfish not to give such good news and maybe to inspire someone. That’s why we set aside negative thoughts of what others will think or believe in us (even though we have all the evidence) and decided to record ourselves to give the message that if you have a dream, no matter how big, you will definitely have it. can make it. The super magical thing that happened to us with this experience was that we had made a ‘vision board’ of everything we wanted to do this year and just put in a photo of it. gucci are among our targets.
